Verizon has expanded its FiOS TV service to additional residential and small business customers in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. Verizon has announced it is now offering Verizon FiOS service to consumers and businesses in additional Western New York communities. Verizon FiOS TV, FiOS Internet, and voice services are now available in parts of Blasdell, Kenmore, and Lackawanna. Verizon is also spreading FiOS TV availability to more areas in the previously activated towns and villages of Amherst, Hamburg, Orchard Park, Tonawanda, and West Seneca.

FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein will hold a public town hall meeting in Phoenix to address issues concerning the federally-mandated digital television (DTV) transition that will go into effect in February.
